Sanjar “SANJI” Kuliev, born 18 Nov, 1998, is a professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player from Uzbekistan, currently playing as a rifler for Team Virtus.pro.
The history of SANJI
SANJI comes from a tough environment. Uzbekistan is one of those countries where young people learn very early about the principles of hard work, respect, and good habits, and he was no exception, which appeared to be a huge factor in SANJI’s path to success.
When he was a child, SANJI was a very smart kid who did very well at school and in sports as well. After school, one of the ways to have fun was either to play outside with the neighborhood kids or to play video games. He loved both, but after a while, Counter-Strike was a part of his daily routine and he would fall in love more and more with it after every played match.
There are not many professional players from Uzbekistan, so SANJI did not have an easy road in becoming who he is today. Normally, there is some kind of cultural resistance towards careers that have been existing for no more than two decades. But, SANJI is unquestionably talented and it would be such a shame if the Counter-Strike scene was left without him. Thankfully, his parents did the right thing and supported him during his journey.
SANJI has a lot of potential in him and considering he has been on the pro scene for just a couple of years, there are no visible limits for his growth. Despite being so young, he already has a lot of playing experience. Some of the teams he used to play for were KnockOut Sports, Syman Gaming, AVANGAR, and now Virtus.pro.
