Tournament format
The tournament is separated into two different stages, one of them being the group stage and the other being the Playoffs.
The group stage divides the 8 teams into two groups of 4 teams each. The matches played in the group stage are in the form of “Robin Rounds”- which means that all 4 teams must compete with each other and are played as BO1 while the elimination and decider matches are played as BO3. The 2 teams who end up at the bottom are eliminated, Whereas the top 2 teams of each group advance to the Playoffs.
The Playoffs are played between the remaining 4 teams where the matches are played as BO3 using the single-elimination method. The 1st ranked team of the first group plays against the 1st ranked team of the second group while the 2nd ranked teams of both groups play against each other as well. The winners of both the matches lastly play against each other in the final.
Sometimes the organizer will test out new concepts and formats. Therefore always check the tournament page if you would like to study a specific tournament.Whats special about Charleroi
